Position Summary:

Operates equipment in the manufacturing production area such as slitter, bonding mill, or rolling mill.   Measure and check materials and parts essential to the manufacture and test of a given product. This may include, test equipment, inspect machines and other related equipment.   Follows Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs various operations on a wide variety of parts, including complex, delicate parts of exacting tolerances.
  • Must be able to work from prints and route cards. 
  • Inspect parts and gauge material. 
  • Set up and maintain various machines.
  • Use various measuring instruments such as micrometers and verniers.

May perform preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled.

  • Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area

  • Monitor and report on all market trends for given product family including macro market trends and influences, environmental influences and industry trends and competitive activities and threats.
  • Work directly with customers on commercial line and new business issues.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a very diverse and dynamic manufacturing environment.


Education and Experience:

  • BS/MS Degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years direct related experience

  • Experience in metals manufacturing or heavy industrial environment preferred.

  • Strong business knowledge and ability to understand product and manufacturing costs

  • Knowledge of SPC and Process/Product Control Planning

  • Excellent written and verbal skill required

  • Windows Proficiency

  • Oracle experience is a plus

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of work in the facility related to low voltage systems.  Responsibility of fire extinguishers, badge systems, surveillance equipment, network, and phone system, as well as equipment of a complex nature.

Senior technician level position to provide support for all low voltage control systems.  This includes fire alarms, wet and dry sprinkler systems, CO2 and dry suppression, alarms, network wiring and racks, security, hydrogen and nitrogen gas systems.  Daily duties include troubleshooting, performing control system performance analysis, implement control modifications in support of existing manufacturing processes. 

A low voltage technician is responsible for monitoring and installing low-voltage cables and systems for electronic equipment and communication devices. Low voltage technicians analyze blueprints and schematics to connect the cables safely and accurately. They also conduct repairs for defective components and faulty wirings, recommending solutions and low-cost materials with high quality according to the customers’ needs and budget limitations. A low voltage technician must have excellent electrical and organizational skills, especially in performing duties with utmost adherence to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent hazards and operational delay.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Badge system and surveillance equipment
  • Maintain fire extinguishers throughout EMS
  • Manage and coordinate outside vendors to perform scheduled inspections or work
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage systems as necessary
  • Observe, monitor, and record status of utility equipment
  • Make routine, periodic inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facility systems, and equipment.
